Terms of Service
Effective 28 October 2026 · Last updated 28 October 2026
Plain language, no traps. These terms apply to work I do for you and to your use of this website. If something here conflicts with a written project scope we agree, the project scope wins for that project.
1. Who I am
Hany, an independent website developer based in Cairo, Egypt. Contact: hani.ahmed6080@gmail.com.
2. This website
The content here is information, not a binding offer. Prices shown are ranges and starting points; the price for your project is the one we agree in writing. I may change prices and content at any time, but never for a project already quoted and accepted.
3. Quotes and scope
- Every project starts with a written scope: pages, features, price, delivery date and the number of revision rounds.
- Anything not listed in that scope is out of scope, and gets its own quote before I start it.
- Quotes are valid for 14 days.
4. Payment
- 50% deposit to start, 50% before the site goes live. Maintenance is billed monthly in advance.
- Egypt: InstaPay or bank transfer in EGP. International: Wise or bank transfer in USD.
- Work starts when the deposit clears. Bank and transfer fees are yours unless we agree otherwise.
- Invoices are due within 7 days. Late payment beyond 14 days pauses work and may delay launch.
5. Timelines
Delivery estimates assume content, feedback and approvals arrive when requested. If feedback is delayed, the date moves by at least the delay. I take a limited number of builds at a time, so a missed start date can push your project to the next slot.
6. What I need from you
- Access to your domain, hosting and any existing accounts.
- Content, logos and images — or approval of the copy I draft.
- One decision-maker who can approve work, and feedback within 5 working days per round.
- A guarantee that any content you give me is yours to use.
7. Revisions
Each project includes the number of revision rounds written in the scope (usually one or two). A revision round means adjustments within the agreed direction. A new direction — new layout concept, new pages, new features — is new work and is quoted separately.
8. Ownership and licences
- On final payment, you own the design, the custom code and all content I created for you.
- Domain, hosting, WordPress admin and analytics are in your name from the start. You keep them regardless.
- Third-party components (WordPress, WooCommerce, Odoo, themes, plugins) keep their own licences. I'll tell you which are licensed and which are free.
- I may show the finished work in my portfolio and social posts unless you ask me not to in writing.
9. Third-party services
Hosting, payment gateways, email services and Odoo plans are contracted by you and governed by their terms and prices. I'm not responsible for outages, policy changes, account suspensions or fee changes on those platforms, though I'll help you respond to them.
10. What I don't guarantee
I do not guarantee search rankings, traffic, sales or income. Anyone who does is guessing. What I commit to is the scope we agreed, a site that works on modern phones and browsers, and 30 days after launch to fix anything that doesn't behave as specified.
11. Support and maintenance
30 days of bug fixes are included after launch. Changes after that are either quoted or covered by a maintenance plan. Maintenance plans can be cancelled with 30 days' notice; you keep the site and its data.
12. Confidentiality
I keep your business information private and don't share it with anyone outside the providers needed to deliver the work. Please don't send passwords by email or DM — use a password manager share or a temporary login.
13. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, my total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid me for the project concerned. I'm not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit, lost data or lost opportunity. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time in writing. The deposit is non-refundable once work has started, and any work completed beyond the deposit is invoiced at the agreed rate. If I cancel for reasons within my control, you receive a refund for work not delivered.
15. Free audit
The free audit is three specific observations about your website, sent in one message. It's not a full audit, a report or professional advice you can rely on contractually, and there's no obligation to hire me.
16. The free PDF
“The 15-Minute Founder” is free for personal and internal business use. Please don't resell it or republish it as your own.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and disputes fall to the competent courts of Cairo. Before that, let's talk — almost everything is solvable with one honest message.
