Privacy Policy
Effective 28 October 2026 · Last updated 28 October 2026
Short version: this site has no advertising trackers, no social pixels, no data selling. It collects what you type into a form, plus anonymous page counts.
1. Who is responsible
Hany (“I”, “me”), an independent website developer based in Cairo, Egypt, is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: hani.ahmed6080@gmail.com.
2. What I collect
- Contact form and guide signup: the name, email address, website URL, service type, budget range and message you choose to send.
- Anonymous usage data: page views, referring site, country, browser type and screen size, collected without cookies and without a persistent identifier.
- Hosting logs: technical request data such as IP address and user agent, kept briefly by the hosting provider to serve the site and block abuse.
- Local settings: your cookie-banner choice is stored in your browser's local storage on your device. It is not transmitted to me.
I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16, and I do not collect special-category data. Please don't send confidential business records through the form.
3. Why I use it, and on what basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare an audit — on the basis of your consent and my legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry.
- To send the free PDF and occasional notes — on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the box.
- To understand which pages help people — on the basis of my legitimate interest in improving the site, using aggregated, cookieless analytics.
- To keep the site secure — legitimate interest in preventing abuse and attacks.
4. Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics are provided by Plausible, which does not use cookies, does not fingerprint devices and does not build a profile of you across sites. The banner you see remembers your choice locally in your browser; refusing it does not restrict anything on the site.
5. Who else sees your data
- GitHub Pages — website hosting, including technical request logs.
- Plausible Analytics — cookieless, aggregated statistics, hosted in the EU.
- Form processing — when the contact or signup form is connected to a form service, the fields you submit are processed by that provider solely to deliver the message or email to me.
- Email provider — stores and delivers messages once received.
I never sell, rent or trade your data, and I do not share it for advertising.
6. International transfers
Some providers above process data outside Egypt, including in the EU and the US. Where required, transfers rely on the provider's contractual safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long it is kept
- Enquiries and project correspondence: up to 24 months after the last contact, or longer if we are working together and it forms part of the project record.
- Guide signups: until you unsubscribe, then removed from the list within 30 days.
- Hosting logs: as short as the provider's retention allows, typically days to a few weeks.
8. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask me to correct or delete it, object to processing based on legitimate interest, or withdraw consent for emails at any time. Email hani.ahmed6080@gmail.com and I will respond within 30 days. Every marketing email also contains a one-click unsubscribe link. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Form input is validated and sanitised in the browser and again at the form service. No secret keys or credentials are present in the site's client-side code, and there is no server-side database of visitor data on this domain.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the “last updated” date above changes and, where the change affects something you consented to, I will ask again rather than assume.
